February, 2017New plans unveiled for £50m client scheme

Dransfield Properties has entered a joint venture agreement with Harworth Group to develop a new £50m retail, office and leisure scheme at Waverley near Rotherham, South Yorkshire’s largest ever brownfield mixed-use redevelopment.

The 12-acre development will incorporate a 24,500 sq ft food store with office space, medical centre, hotel and 70,000 sq ft of further retail space alongside gym, restaurants and coffee shops.

The development will formally link the renowned Advanced Manufacturing Park (AMP) and the residential area through a master planned retail and leisure development, incorporating community facilities.

Met Consultancy surveyors first worked at Waverley in the 1980’s when it was still an opencast site and are undertaking Civil and Structural Consultancy work to inform the planning application for this new development, which is scheduled for submission in Spring.  It marks a further high-profile development for our client Dransfield Properties since opening the company’s flagship Fox Valley development in north Sheffield last summer.
