First Met Informed Development for 2014

Just nine days in, we’ve already chalked up our first development go-ahead of the New Year.

Plans to redevelop Brotherton House, the landmark Leeds building and former West Yorkshire Police administration centre on the junction of Westgate with St Paul’s Street in Leeds centre have been unveiled today 9th January 2014.

A total of 63 apartments are proposed for the six-storey building, with the addition of two new levels the building’s roof.

Originally built in 1956 for Leeds chemicals and dyestuffs firm Brotherton and Co, Brotherton House was later purchased by Leeds Corporation and then occupied by the former Leeds City Police from 1965. It was acquired by J Pullan & Sons in 2012.

Met Geo Environmental surveyed and recorded all measure building data to inform the developer’s planning applications, and with the property market really beginning to motor in Leeds, it looks like we could be in for a busy 12 months. More information http://bit.ly/1j3lSWb  [Insider News Yorkshire]
