July, 2025Survey Work Supports Bus Station Redevelopment

Met Consultancy Group is pleased to have supported early-stage survey work at Huddersfield Bus Station, now set for major redevelopment as part of Kirklees Council’s regeneration plans. The project was recently featured in BBC News, with proposals to replace the existing 1970s structure with a modern, welcoming transport hub.

To assist feasibility and design planning, our team delivered a range of site investigation services, including:

  • PAS128 Utility Surveys
  • Utility Record Searches and Reporting
  • Topographical Surveys

Given the operational nature of the site, some of our survey works were carried out during night-time hours, allowing us to work safely while minimising disruption. Our flexible deployment meant the station could remain fully operational throughout, reducing the impact on service users and ensuring continuity for the public.

These types of projects demonstrate why and how high-quality geospatial data is fundamental to planning our sustainable future. We’re proud to contribute towards helping shape the next chapter in Huddersfield’s evolving urban infrastructure.
