Leeds based integrated surveying and engineering firm, Met Consultancy Group, is delighted with the promotion of Richard Smith to Director.

He had previously worked with WYG and started his career with JSM Designs who were bought by Met in December 2004. “We were pleased when Richard signed up in 2005” says Neil Harvey, Chairman, “but even more delighted by the way he progressed and became a key member of the team consolidating this with his acceptance of Directorship. Richard is very much the future of the business and he has the support of all the team at Met.”
Richard has a wide range of experience in Structural Engineering projects across the North of England, ranging from bespoke residential to multi-level housing developments, historic building refurbishments, commercial and industrial developments and civil engineering structures and has developed a solid team of structural engineers to assist him in successfully completing these projects. Knowledgeable, diligent and practical, Richard has won the praise and long-term support of many clients in his approach to cost-effective problem solving and design.
“I am very much looking forward to my new role and the challenges and opportunities it will bring helping to steer Met Engineers Ltd towards sustainable and organic growth over the coming months and years” commented Richard.
Prior to his appointment, Richard completed the Institute of Directors Diploma in Company Direction. The Directors and management team are very much looking forward to an exciting and prosperous future and all at Met Consultancy Group wish Richard the very best in his new role.
