Key facts:

Client: Persimmon Homes
Project: Speculative Residential Development
Contract Value: £80 million

The project required Met Consultancy Group (Met) to design horizontal and vertical designs for the highway infrastructure works to enable this development to proceed and service an 800 unit residential development on the fringe of Morley.

Met designed Distributor Roads, Roundabouts and obtained Technical Approval from Leeds City Council.

The provision of a surface water balancing reservoir and thrust bored outfall was required under the A653 Dewsbury Road which meant obtaining Technical Approval from Yorkshire Water Services.

The designs also included the diversion of existing trunk sewers and the construction of a new combined stormwater (CSO) overflow tank.

Major ground re-contouring was undertaken to fill the valley and reduce the elevation of the site to construct the Link Spine Road and roundabouts between Magpie Lane and Wide Lane.
