Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire

Job type: Permanent full-time

Salary: Negotiable

Minimum experience required: Relevant site work, office processing and project management

Qualifications: Degree Level, preferably RICS or CICES qualified

Role Description

Met Consultancy Group is recruiting for a Senior Surveyor. The job involves undertaking 3D topographical and measured building surveys integrated with data processing and the preparation of final AutoCAD drawings. Experience in the production of boundary/title surveys, monitoring work, volumetrics, utility tracing and setting out would offer candidates a distinct advantage.

You will ideally be a geomatics graduate and be able to demonstrate a responsible approach to quality, environmental and health and safety management. This includes experience of compiling method statements, risk assessments and knowledge of lone working procedures. Consideration will be given to candidates without a geomatics qualification if they can demonstrate extensive experience of specific disciplines.

A good knowledge of LEICA total stations and GPS is preferable and CSCS, PTS/COSS or Confined Spaces training qualifications would enhance your application. Good knowledge of AutoCAD is essential and experience of laser scanning, MBS, LSS, Leica Geo Office, 3D modelling and Revit would be beneficial. We would expect candidates to possess excellent inter-personal skills and have experience of dealing with client requirements and delivery of projects to varying specifications.

The successful candidate will need to be able to work on their own initiative, be motivated, able to manage other survey crews and produce high quality, accurate data within tight timelines.

You will be based at our Leeds office but you will need to be willing to travel throughout the UK on a regular basis, staying away from home, and work occasional weekends. There is also the possibility of overseas working on occasion. The candidate will need to be flexible with regard to working hours (e.g. railway surveys carried out at night or weekends) with overtime pay or time in-lieu being credited.

Good written and spoken English, and a full UK driving licence are all essential.
